Common Name / Latin Name

This plant is like a living sculpture with upright ornamental green, yellow and grey striped foliage. Otherwise known as Mother in Law's Tongue or Snake plant, this species is a real toughie, we defy anyone to manage to kill this hardy indoor plant. Position - Happiest in bright conditions it can be placed in a well-lit spot in your home. However, it really can tolerate whatever is thrown at it – it will tolerate dark spots or even full sun. Water – the worst thing you can do to the Snake plant is over water it. Do not leave it sitting in water or with wet leaves as it will not be very happy and can rot. So, water from below and infrequently (just wait until the top inch of soil feels dry). If in doubt leave it alone, it thrives on neglect! Tips – this plant is ideal placed in the bedroom, whereas most other plants release carbon dioxide at night the Sansevieria continues Safety - poisonous plants to pets and can cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhea if consumed. Keep out of reach of small children and pets Difficulty -Easy
